“I like to envision the whole world as a jigsaw puzzle…If you look at the whole picture, it is overwhelming and terrifying, but if you work on your little part of the jigsaw and know that people all over the world are working on their little bits, that’s what will give you hope.” – Dr Jane Goodall

How might we move from Hope to Action?

murdoch_logo.pngDr Jane Goodall DBE has inspired generations of conservationists and enriched humankind’s understanding of animals, people and our shared environment. Today, there are Jane Goodall Institutes in 35 countries and Roots & Shoots (R&S) education programs in 100+ countries around the world to support her vision and legacy. In 2016, the Jane Goodall Institute Australia (JGIA) launched its R&S Australia National Youth Leadership Council (NYLC) to provide an opportunity for young Australians to pave the way for the next generation of conservationists.

Join Dr Jane Goodall and the R&S Australia NYLC for an inspiring evening during the last week of Dr Goodall’s 2017 Tour of Australia. The evening will focus on the role that young Australians, and those who facilitate their academic development, can play towards a sustainable future. It will include presentations from the NYLC, a talk from Dr Goodall, and a Q&A Session facilitated by JGIA Chair, Paul Smith.

Upon purchasing your ticket, you will have the opportunity to suggest a question for Dr Goodall to answer on the night! If your question is selected, you will be notified ahead of the event. A digital program of the event will be sent to registered emails in advance of the date.

Your JGIA hosts will be Roots & Shoots Australian National Youth Leadership Council leader, Natalie Muhl and Roots & Shoots Coordinator (WA) Bill Waterer. Natalie currently enrolled in Environmental Management and Sustainability at Murdoch University.
